Update to Third Level Graduate Programme

As the situation regarding Covid-19 continues, and as a a once-off initiative, 2020/2021 international students who are otherwise eligible to apply for the Third Level Graduate Programme (Stamp 1G) may now stay in or return to their own countries to study online for semester 2 of the academic year.

Students will be deemed eligible to apply for the Stamp 1G as long as they meet all other existing criteria in addition to the criteria outlined below. For students currently studying remotely, they can apply when they successfully complete their course, they must provide the following documentation:

  • A letter from the higher education institution outlining that they were a student for the academic year 2020/2021;
  • A letter from the higher education outlining that the course was taught remotely and that the student was not required to attend any classes in person during the academic year, and;
  • A letter from the relevant awarding body or institution that they have achieved the award for which they were enrolled as a student.

Additionally, students who have completed a one-year Masters Degree with an Irish university/ Institute of Higher Education and were unable to travel to Ireland to register their permission as a student in Ireland for academic year, will have to travel to Ireland prior to the issuance of their final results in order to register their permission and qualify for the Third Level Graduate Programme.
