We advise on the process and requirements to employers and employees to prepare applications for employment permits to the Department of Business, Enterprise & Innovation. All categories of employment permit applications are processed by our office

Paul Cullen

IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT

Paul was a member of the Garda National Immigration Bureau dealing with immigration issues from 1998 until 2015 and served with the Irish Police Force, An Garda Siochana, for 32 years with 28 years’ experience assigned to detective duty.

Paul has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the immigration laws and procedures and provides accurate and up to date information on the laws and administrative practices regarding all aspects of immigration. Investigations and court case preparations were primary functions as an authorised immigration officer. Paul is a veteran of two missions with the United Nations serving in Bosnia & Herzegovina and East Timor as an investigator monitoring war crimes and as a crisis management officer in relation to emergency evacuations.

He served as an officer of Detective Garda rank attached to the specialist anti-terrorist unit of An Garda Siochana, SDU, from 1987 to 2000. He is a qualified investigator, emergency tactical support officer, tactical and defensive driving, and also proficient in the use of various firearms. Paul was deployed to immigration duty in 1997 and has gained vast experience and knowledge whilst working as an immigration officer in Ireland. He was assigned to various tasks and investigations in Ireland and Internationally with other immigration agencies around the World and in particular, the Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Services in relation to residence permission and the Department of Business, Enterprise & Innovation in relation to employment permits.

Colm Hilliard

IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT

Colm as a member of the Garda National Immigration Bureau dealing with immigration issues from 1997 until April 2015. Colm served with the Irish Police Force, An Garda Siochana for 33 years with 29 years’ experience assigned to detective duty and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the immigration laws and procedures. His experience in immigration as a designated team leader of various departments within the Garda National Immigration Bureau allows him to provide accurate and up to date information on the laws and administrative practices regarding all aspects of immigration. Conducting investigations, dissemination and evaluation of cases for presentation in the Irish Courts system were core function as an authorised immigration officer.

Colm served as an officer of Detective Sergeant Rank attached to the specialist anti-terrorist unit of An Garda Siochana, SDU, from 1986 to 2001. He is a qualified investigator, emergency tactical support officer and also proficient in the use of various firearms.

Colm was responsible for the protection of Heads of state on the occasion of their State visits to Ireland and the primary location for Colm and his unit was Dublin Airport, security evaluation of the site, security planning, and crisis management and enforcement. Liaison with officers attached to National and International Security agencies were primary functions on these occasions and required meticulous planning through a joint consultative process.
